Memmingen Munich West is an airport located in Bavaria, Germany. It is also named Allgau airport, or Memmingen airport. Its name is connected with its location, in the west of Munich (or München in the German language). Munich West is the second airport operating flights for Munich. As the airbase is located quite far from the city (about 80km), there are only low cost airlines operating there. The most popular of them are Ryanair, Wizzair and AirBerlin.

Memmingen airport is quite small, but you can find anything you need there – taxi, car hire service, buses, trains to Munich, and, of course, buses to the Memmingen city. It is the third largest commercial airport in Bavaria, and the only one, where you can find low cost airlines operators.

The easiest way to get to the airport is by car. Highway Munich – Stuttgart is only 5 kilometers from here.

From the Memmingen airport you can get to the most popular European countries: Spain, Great Britain, Italy, and of course to other cities in Germany. Flights to Memmingen airport are operated every day.

There are some cafes here, where you can take some coffee or snacks before your flight. Famous bavarian sausages with curry (currywürst) are also available here. If you feel like having a meal there is a restaurant, where you can taste german and bavarian national food.

If you have any questions, you can find answers on our site, or address them to the airport administration by post or by telephone.
